I agree, at least on it.wp there are so many images that were uploaded with
no indication whatsoever of their origin and we have to delete them even if
they're likely to be own work by the uploader who has disappeared in the
meantime. One can then not reply to emails, but at least we would have made
an effort to keep the images.

Please please please let it be so! After having to mark several
thousand bad uploads for deletion, and realizing it was just a

I think it's hard for people who haven't worked on image cleanup
to realize how much grunt work is created by the hundreds and
sometimes thousands of bad uploads that accumulate each and every day.
