Hello everybody,
As you may remember, Mark Williamson pretended some
time ago I sent him an ethnic hate message. Given this
was a serious accusation, I forwarded the message to
the
customer service, and I have just
received the following reply.
As you can see, the
customer service does
certify the e-mail Mark posted here was forged.
Yours,

Hello,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mail.
We have investigated your report, and, based on the
information you've
given us, your account does not appear to have been
accessed by the
sender of this email.
The sender seems to have forged your email address
in the "reply-to"
and/or the "from" field of the message they sent
out. Please know that
we are currently aware of this type of spam and are
investigating it.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.
Regards,
Mike

Hello,
I'm sorry to say, but your reply is completely
unsatisfactory.
The whole point in my complaint was that I knew I
did
not sent this message, and I needed you to certify
this. Instead, you tell me that:
"The situation you describe has been resolved".
This sentence means strictly nothing by itself.
Yours,
Dpotop

Hello,
Could you tell me how much time the investigation
will
take? I really need to know whether the e-mail has
been sent from my account, or if it was simply
forged.
Can you keep me informed of the steps you are
going
to
take?
The problem is that my reputation took a blow due
to
the impersonating message, and I need to explain
what
happened (I need at least a confirmation of the
fact
that the message did not originate from my
account).
Thank you,
Dumitru
