It is very easy for those that care to create censored
subsets of the
wikipedia. It is not easy to find censored wikipedia articles that
don't exist.

There's probably a good market in creating a censored Wikipedia - see
kids.net.au, which claims to do just that (except it doesn't do very well
at it, e.g.
http://www.kids.net.au/encyclopedia-wiki/sn/Snowballing ... how
unfortunate) - but pre-censoring the original strikes me as a bad idea for
the reason you state above.
