Actually, it really depends on where you learnt it.
In most Pacific nations, they teach Commonwealth English, being close
to New Zealand. In Mexico, however, they teach American English. Most
European nations teach Commonwealth English, while many Asian and
American nations teach American English.

most people who learn English as a foreign language learn to write the
