Let me clear it a bit. The only ones who git blocked were Vladimir Medeyko and few others
involved in creating of Russian Wikipedia clone. For example, all of NWR-Hist User group
is still active in various projects while most of its members are still in Russia.
There were some discussions on blocking Wikimedia projects in Russia but in my opinion
it's not happening before any of the clones or other similar projects reach at least
100k articles. Maybe never.

No they are not blocked. So saying that it's
Ukrainians and not Russians - including those that live in Russia - who edit articles
about the war supports the case for blocking Russian Wikipedia.
I think while writing on sensitive topics like this the authors should fact check first,
write later.

Victoria,
Can you explain what the issue is? It is not obvious to me what hoax you are seeing.
People in Russia are blocked from editing Wikipedia, are they not?
There is a comment section at the bottom of that article. I encourage you to post
corrections.

It's sad to see the Signpost perpetuating the hoax that "[Russian Wikipedia]
articles on the Russian invasion of Ukraine ... [were]... originally written by
Ukrainians". After a balanced description of the diverse editors of the Russian
Wikipedia, which come from all over the world, why is there a sudden support of Russian
propaganda?
