Hi,Will accounts created with the WLM app be confirmed right away or will there be a note somewhere saying that they must confirm their account before beeing able to upload images? A friend who tested was unable to upload until after four days and the explanation was "Permission denied". Does it make a difference when uploads will be made to Commons instead of Test? Is it possible to change that to something saying "Confirm your account by ..." or something like that? /axel

I don't think the app supports account *creation*. You'll need a normally created Commons account to upload.
+1 Yuvi,
In my instance, I didn't have to create an account. I only logged in using my global wikimedia account and it just worked.

Thanks for input. From what I understand now it's a test.wikipedia-issue and that it's not a problem when upload is moved to Commons. /axel

This happened to me as well and I was told by the app folks that it is a test wiki issue. If you don't have an account there, you will get the "permission denied" message. If you have a universal log-in account, you should be fine. My Matthew (WMF) account is universal and I was able to upload. My Almonroth account is not, and I kept getting the "permission denied" error message.

It has been changed. It should work now for all of you who had "permission denied" problems.

In Wikimedia Commons you don't need to be autoconfirmed for upload. You can start uploading directly. The different configuration probably comes from test.wikipedia.org, as the WLM app is uploading there while it is in beta.

As the autoconfirmed delay doesn't really makes sense for test, can we have that restriction lifted?
