Hi all;
I'm emijrp, a Wikipedia user from Spain. I'm working on the lists of my
country. You can see the structure here.[1] I'm not sure how other countries
are going to create their lists, but, if my way is useful, it would be
great.
Regards,
emijrp

Hi.
I am GoEThe, from Wikimedia Portugal. Together with Beria and others, I am
helping to organize things for wikilovesmonuments in Portugal. I used to
live in Leiden, Holland, during my PhD, but now I live in Denmark.
I am currently reading through the project pages on Commons, my next step
will be to organize the templates and tables. Will the bot run through all
participating wikipedias, or do we have to develop it locally?
Best,
Gonçalo
Building up a global Monuments Database with datasets of any country available.
Some information like geodata, location, year of construction, picture, official key, source information might be universal and are needed only once for every monument. Other information like the description of the monument should be kept in different languages.
For any Wikipedia language a template with placeholders is created. A script can fill the templates with information from the Monuments Database.
As the number of monuments is not static and we continously find out better information or take new photos, a web interface allows to change the datasets with new information. A bot can update regularly (once a week) the monument lists in all Wikipedias.

Hi all,
just as a reminder: if you are seriously thinking about participating
Wiki Loves Monuments, I would like to suggest you register the
wikilovesmonuments.xx domain. You don't necessarily have to use that
to put your website, but at the very least redirect it to your page on
Wikimedia Commons or your local wiki. That way nobody else can steal
and abuse it, or you can decide later to use it after all.
If you want to run a website there (for example, a blog) I understand
that Wikimedia Polska is willing to help you out with their
toolserver.
So... then register it soon!

Hi, I am Vicenç Riullop
or user Vriullop, member of Amical Viquipèdia, WM-CAT to be. Some users on
ca.wiki are working on lists of monuments and we have initiated contacts with
Catalan heritage institutions. We are not sure if we will participate, or on whatever
form, but we will be around.
