Hi!
Can someone please help me converting the Colombian monuments list to the
template format so they appear in the tools and the db? I would really
appreciate it.
Currently, the list is located here:
http://co.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_Monuments/Listado/Todo (will move
it to Wikipedia in some days).
Thanks!
Oscar

I wasn't objecting to it, I only asked where to find the data. :-)
To me, it seems to have stabilized on a slightly higher level.

Ah, thank you, I forgot the Commons-specific part of the page: that's
what I was looking for, with the 22642 uploaders number. :-)
<http://stats.wikimedia.org/wikispecial/EN/TablesWikipediaCOMMONS.htm#upload…>
To me, this table shows that uploaders were stabilized (for a few
months) at about:
* 15k total / 0k with UW "before the UploadWizard";
* 16k / 9k after it;
* 18k / 13k after WLM.
Which would show a progressive switch to UW (also by very active
uploaders), boosted by WLM, and a stable increase of uploaders after UW+WLM.
This poor man reading of the tables doesn't provide reliable
indications, of course; I do have a slightly different opinion than the
one the annual plan seems to be implying (speaking of WLM "only" as one
of the short-term activity boosters), but the conclusion is the same:
WLM and UW had a wonderful synergy and are the way to go (with the
mobile app this year).

Dear all,
As was previously advised, the competition in Israel during the Hebrew month of Tishrey, i.e. between 14th September and 15th October. Thus the deadline is very near the end of the competition, leaving us only one week to rate all the pictures. If extending by one week is possible, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
I would like to repeat the deadlines from
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012/Timeline
once
again, and would like to hear it very soon if one of the deadlines is not
realistic for you, or if you have good reasons to change it. Especially the
October 21 deadline is important. With that information, we will set the
final deadlines on Saturday.
* August 27: Upload wizard and websites should be ready.
* August 30: Crucial infrastructure should be translated to your local
languages, banner info should be ready and translated. English summary page
should be available for each country.
* 1 September - 30 September: actual contest. Banners up. (exception
Israel, which is using the hebrew months, but will follow the other
deadlines)
* October 21: *Deadline for submitting the 10 nominations for the
international contest*. This can be a private submission (with delayed
publishing) and they do not have to be ordered. Being late for this
deadline might result in having no nominations in the international contest
- so make sure this is a realistic deadline for you.
* November 18: The international jury needs to have its results ready. This
can't be much later, because we would like to produce calendars again, but
this time get them delivered before the end of the year.
I would appreciate it also if some people could confirm this is realistic
and workable for them.
Best,
Lodewijk
Who's on top of granting WLM Campaign Editors right? My request has
been sitting there for a few days now, and we need to move with the
template things and the upload app.
I also sent an e-mail asking about the source code of the Android app
so that we could collaborate with missing features etc, ignored too.
Who has that info?

Hi all,
hope all is well with everyone and greetings from India community.
I'm sorry if you did know this before, but thought to share them with
you. While doing some research regarding Wikitable, I'd found out a tool
which works better spreadsheets such as Gnumeric, MS Excel, etc. Find the
tool here: http://excel2wiki.net/wikipedia.php
*Simple procedures:* You need to copy the list available from Internet to
Spreadsheets, and then copy the whole excel sheet, paste it there in the
link and click on submit. You'll find contents which is ready-to-paste to
Wiki. Use this tool for lists with extensive number of monuments, and be
careful while using it.
Thanks! Do let us know if you have any other alternatives :)

Hi everyone,
I'm working on the monuments database and I ran into some problems for
France. I have 43608 items in the database of which 11752 items have as
municipality 'non'. This is caused by the variable "commune" which is
both in the row as in the header template. Could someone please change
this at
https://fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mod%C3%A8le:En-t%C3%AAte_de_tabl…
to French equivalent of "hide_municipality"? I can have my bot rename
the variable, that's pretty straightforward. That will clear the way for
the next step.
For easy navigation in the mobile app we are including local information
for sources. This was already done for a lot of countries, but not for
France yet. If it's setup you can browse: France -> Midi-Pyrénées ->
Haute-Garonne -> Toulouse (I left out the arrondissement step).
For this to work we need to include some information in the header
templates. This is not shown to the user, just used for this navigation.
For the top levels we use ISO 3166 codes, for France that is
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:FR . For
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_des_monuments_historiques_de_Toulouse this
would be something like:
{{En-tête de tableau
MH|région_iso=fr-n|département_iso=fr-31|commune=[[Toulouse]]}}
Are région_iso and département_iso good names or should it be something
different? Who wants to help to get this working for France?
Maarten
Hi,Sophie is doing a great job updating and getting wikilovesmonuments.se ready for this year, but we are missing a link from wikilovesmonuments.org to our site. Can someone(tm) help out with that?

Hi all,
is there anyone who would be willing to help set up a jury process tool
that can be used in multiple countries? I'm looking for a software tool
that makes juring more easy than going through commons categories. Would be
happy to brainstorm if someone is willing to work it out.
Thanks!
