You could, and you'll need to access it at http://127.0.0.1:port/wiki/, if it's not 80.

Thanks for the info! I started EasyPHP, but got an error, that "Apache port (80) is used by inetinfo.exe". Do I edit the httpconf file to a different port to change this?

Hi all,
Is there a site where I can download and run a wiki on my own computer? Preferably mediawiki, but something that's as easy as Firefox or Media Player to install.
Hi James, for windows I use EasyPHP (http://www.easyphp.org/). It sets up Apache, MySQL and PHP in one install. Then just install mediawiki.
Takes only a few minutes.
There are a few things that aren't initially installed, like some image resizing stuff and tex. But otherwise it's fully functional. _______________________________________________ Wikipedia-l mailing list Wikipedia-l@Wikimedia.org http://mail.wikipedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikipedia-l
