I just read that on Angela's blog. Now, that indicates a ready and willing market.
I agree. That also indicates a ready and willing market for en.wikipedia.
That's precisely what I'm thinking ;-)
Is there a page detailing the process? Even one in German would be good to see.
This is for the Fall-2004-CD: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia-CD/Erfahrungsbericht This is for the Spring 2005-CD/DVD http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia-Distribution/Erfahrungsberi...

Specifically, I'm wondering how possible it is to do something like this for en: before MediaWiki 1.5 (when the ratings system goes live) and 1.6 (when we might actually do something with the data).
Ask Magnus Manske for his code.
Yes, those are the current plans as I understand them :-) The idea being that there's no point doing anything with the numbers from ratings until we know what the ratings look like.
You have actually two problems regarding text:
- Is the article itself "fit" for the DVD/CD?
- Was it vandalized recently?
Besides several hundred smaller issues (Template Tags, Links to another namespaces..)
Yep.
