There are only two iron-clad, unbreakable Wikipedia laws: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and it should be written following the principle of the neutral point of view.
I would add to those two: *Don't infringe copyrights *No personal attacks, which Jimbo indicated could be grounds for a ban.
I agree that all other rules, such as naming conventions etc, shouldn't be regarded as unbreakable. I would suggest calling the above 4 rules 'policies' and the rest 'guidelines' to make the difference clearer.
