Geez, well, I was afraid of that. You didn't do any harm, and I agree totally with the decision to remove it. I certainly don't want there to be any fights between the two groups, at least not if we can avoid it!

What's that all about? I hope he wasn't angry.
He (Oleg) was *extremely* angry. I feel pretty bad about it.
I've deleted his email but his points were essentially that he had submitted the article to GNUPedia ONLY and demanded it be removed immediately. I asked if he hadn't intended his article to be released under the GNU Free Documentation License, and mentioned that GnuPedia had been renamed GNE.
He replied rather vehemently that I had *ruined* his article, that yes he did intend for it to be licensed to GNUPedia, but "GNU" did not mean "Free", and that I was clearly lying about GnuPedia changing to GNE since it still said GnuPedia on the gnu.org website.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking, but I didn't see a point to arguing (I usually don't) so just got rid of it. Twern't my wish to exacerbate the already tenuous relationship between these projects, and my apologies if it causes longer term issues.
He also publically castigated someone who voluntarily created a translation of the page today, because they hadn't asked first.
On a side note, I am really enjoying the discussion under the UnitedStatesHistory thread. I'll post some remarks there later. :-)
Erk, not me. :-\
