Mark, If one (or more: xwElšucid and dxwlilap and skajEt might each want one ;-) ) ever comes to be, I'll do my best to support it, but you're right, I have not requested one. My plate is full enough just being a good Esperantist-WPan and a boosterette for the Wawa WP, which is crawling towards life. But as long as language-name capitalization issues were on the table I thought some here might find it of interest to consider a variant case. I fully agree it is not a bridge that needs crossing. Ros, I am all for the creation of a Lushootseed Wikipedia.
And, in the past, I have encouraged theoretical discussions relating to the community dynamics of possible future Wikipedias in lesser-spoken languages (Hopi was an example I used, with about 4000 speakers, more than Lushootseed).
However -- and this is a big however -- this message is so theoretical, so probably irrelevant, that it surprises even me.
Discussion of community dynamics, and general language issues that may be faced in the future is one thing. But, discussion of a specific like this, when you haven't even requested the creation of a Lushootseed Wikipedia, is patently absurd. (or, should I say, patschent-ly absurd! Ahahaha! NOT funny... -,,-' ). The discussion of even this change in interwiki links is a new thing, and no changes have yet been made.
As they say on Mars, let's cross that bridge when we come to it...

To date there does not appear to be a Lushootseed (Puget Sound Salish) Wikipedia, but if such ever comes to be, the question will arise whether language names should have their first letters underlined: Lushootseed
does
not use capital letters — its standard orthography is a variety of North Americanist IPA — but the first letters of the names of persons are
often
underlined. (Sentence-initial letters are not underlined, however. In English (which is the first written language of virtually all
Lushootseed
speakers/readers) both sentence initials and name initials are
capitalized.
In Lushootseed in my experience language names in text are not
underlined,
but it remains an open question how the community feels about lists (bulleted, semi-coloned or whatever).
