Even if I don't think that Wikipedia MUST be graphical it can't reject to become so...and this one step ahead of drop down menus...very fine!
By the way, what I initially intended with proposing to think about a WP "toolbar" was meant as a BROWSER toolbar to instantly accessing WP (and some of its features) everytime and directly; and also for the purpose of enhanced usage (you know, spreading the WP idea...) in the sense of "(browsing around the www) ...oh, this is interesting, I should read something about it and - click - write a WP article...". Anyway, if the outcome is an enhanced MENU I really appreciate this way...

If we're using more JavaScript, what about a skin based on drop-down menus? Should be visually much more pleasing than out standard skin. There's a free menu "toolbox" at http://www.webdevtips.com/dropmenu/
