Well, the idea is to offer actual new features for the multilingual portal: multi language search, multi language RC, language file editing interface, what have you. This is, IIRC, currently the plan for "phase IV" of the software.
My main problem is that people are very impatient. Magnus is just rewriting the interlanguage links code, which is very, very important to maintain the coherence of the different language pedias, *much* more important than the portal. Others are working on optimization so we can actually scale to accomodate more users. And so forth.
Having phase III working properly is a requirement for starting work on phase IV, for which we have to reorganize our database once more. We won't put some crappy link page up just to make people happy -- as you said, if all we do is *remove* content it's hardly worth it. I'm happy if we have phase III working nicely by mid-year. After that we can concentrate on phase IV.
So, can we stop bringing this subject up again until June or July, please? Thanks.
