I'm pretty sure Antonino Russo is actually in Sicily, and I know many others from linguasiciliana that are interested definitely reside in Sicily.
It's not that few people want to contribute, it's that Wikipedia is apparently difficult for them to understand how to use, and about twice as many people appear to want to help with it as actually edit it, however Pippu is trying to fix that.

Currently, the Sicilian Wikipedia is being discussed extensively at the forum "linguasiciliana", and although it has attracted the interest of many, so far only a few have actually contributed.
I'm not surprised that few people want to contribute, but I wish the Sicilian wikipedia good luck anyway :-)
