No money from Wikimedia is used for Wikia. The aim is actually for it to happen the other way around, with Wikia providing money to Wikimedia. For example, through sponsorship of Wikimania which Wikia might do.
Read what stuff well? Wikipedia has http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Fundraising but I can't find anything about how Wikia gets it's money. http://wikia.com/wiki/About_Wikia for example has absolutely nothing
