No, I don't think that would do the trick. That is the Main Page of the english wikipedia, it doesn't have to be multilingual (I think it is international enough).
The objection is that the www.wikipedia.org points to www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main+Page, the main page of the ''english'' wikipedia, that doesn't necessarily have to be the Main Page of the ''whole'' project.
