Hi Praveena,
is there a general google agenda feed where this kind of meetings could be mentioned/announced too? In the past office hours were scheduled that way (unfortunately someone decided to discontinue that apparently), and that was very helpful.

I don't know if this is exactly what you mean, but probably this google calendar can serve this purpose.

Hello again,
I have started it some time ago to collect all important dates in the movement, and always wanted to invite more people to contribute and to use it: And here it is. :)
It is supposed to show dates from different categories:
* events: events with an international focus/audience with relevance for the Wikimedia movement (Wikimania, Wikimedia Conference, international Hackathons, cross-country Wiki conferences etc.; but also Creative Commons Summit or OKcon). I’d rather not add local events with a restricted audience. * deadlines: Deadlines for several processes and applications like FDC deadlines, closing dates for contests or Call for Papers * dates: start (and if applicable) also end dates for activities, elections, office hours, metrics meetings, software deployments (only the official/big rollouts, like VisualEditor or Notifications) * what else? Any suggestion is welcome!
It’s still in an alpha stage and I am happy to have more people contributing to it. I would also like to enhance the concept a little (e.g. more “categories”, use different colours, DOs and DON'Ts) and discuss which types of dates it should contain and which better not – to keep it clear and simple .
I am glad that a few people have already expressed their interest and would love to coordinate this tiny project together with you to make it more useful for all of us. :)
[As it is a Google Calendar, you can embed it in any web page (there is an html code for that), or use it in your private calendar via csv / iCal]
Warmest regards (yes, spring has finally arrived in Berlin!)

Glad to know we have such calendar for Wikimedia movements. It makes me think that maybe we should have some places on meta or internal to host the calendar links for all Wikimedia chapters?
We also use Google calendar for Wikimedia activities in Taiwan and the calendar is been shared to Taiwan Open Source communities so we can do some collaborations. It also let people know where and when to meet us if they want to talk with us face to face.

Hmm, I found the office hours helpful because those were theoretically all relevant to me. The overview you're making is unfortunately more aimed towards chapter offices etc, and includes a lot of events which are out of reach anyway. Having an Overview of All has its merits, but it does mean I will not include it in my google calendar because it would float the whole thing too much.
Somehow it would be nice if there would be a menu selection option - what kind of parts do you want to receive. But that is much harder to maintain I guess...

FWIW, last year's discussion about Google Calendar on this list: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/wiki/foundation/279464
That's amazing!
This is the now-closed office hours calendar, which I think was run by someone in WMF (but I could be wrong):
