These folks allow you to use a version of Yahoo! search where 50% of ad revenue goes to a charity of your choice:
On your first visit, you can choose the charity (Wikimedia is among those supported). You can also review how much money has been raised so far (apparently $3 in January). Pretty cool, IMHO. I've set it as my default search and will see if it makes a difference. I _do_ search a lot. :-)
Now let's hope Yahoo! doesn't suck too much compared to Google .. ;-)

Me too. I put it as my default search on Firefox. But I am not really clear on how to confirm that they know I want my charity to be WMF. Does anyone know how I can check?

I type Wikimedia Foundation into their "Who do You GoodSearch for? " box. (You can later flash it, so you may contribute both to your alma mater and WMF)
Interestingly this service was offered in the last month already http://www.goodsearch.com/Estimate.aspx
You can also use a link like http://www.goodsearch.com/?charityid=812661http://www.goodsearch.com/?charityid=xxxthat links to the search page with WMF pre-selected, which will be good to promote this. ** http://www.goodsearch.com/?charityid=xxx
Hi.
I made a quick javaScript hack for Special:Search from french wikipedia -> http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Monobook.js
this shows like this -> http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search it's shows this way. 1. input word(s) to search box 2. click search and select search engine you like, will make result search from paticuler project. ( my script points to ja.wikipedia.org you can change it ;) and the source is here -> http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.js anyone can use it freely.
thanks.

Hallo,
It seems that Wikimedia Foundation was removed from the charities list. Too bad, I was using this site. If all the Wikians would do this, it would have been a nice extra income.
Kind regards Londenp

Mmhh... where the income generated until today (if there was any) will go? Did WMF receive something?
Ciao, Alfio
