Hi.
As I understand it, many Wikimedia Foundation employees are required to
sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Is there a copy of the current
version of this non-disclosure agreement anywhere? I briefly checked
Meta-Wiki and wikimediafoundation.org, but didn't see anything off-hand.
(I did come across other interesting and somewhat related pages such as
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Statement>, though.)

So would you disagree with Erik Moeller's statement of 29 December 2012?
"[WMF compensation is] below some companies that are
similar to us, notably Mozilla which is structured as a for-profit
owned by a non-profit and pays market-level compensation (sans
equity). Wikimedia is above most non-profits that do tech work, and
there's a fair bit of room to grow compensation-wise for an
entry-level hire. It's not what people could make elsewhere, and
that's understood by folks who make it through the process."

Would you post the text of the non-disparagement clause referred to at
http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Minutes/April_5-7,_2008#Non-disparageme…
and
http://uk.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Water_cooler&diff=19657&oldid=196…
please, so we can see exactly what it says?
This morning, the WMF legal team posted a blog concerning trademark
licensing practices going forward in the context of QR code projects and
Wikitowns. Please go
here<http://blog.wikimedia.org/2013/03/08/wmf-trademark-practices-for-qr-codes-a…>in
order to view the post.

Dear fellow Wikimedians,
An invitation for you, and a quick reminder for the WCAC Chair
candidates, to review, contribute and discuss questions for the
candidates at <http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikimedia_Chapters_Association/Election…>.
To given everyone a fair chance to reply, I ask that "Question Time"
ends next Friday (15th March).
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates to publicly put their
viewpoint for the future of the WCA and argue their vision for change.
I heartily recommend good use is made of the discussion over the
coming week.
Thanks,
Fae

Hi everyone,
Wikimedia Nederland invites all developers to the Wikimedia Hackathon.
The Wikimedia Hackathon will be in 2013 from 24-26 May. The registration
is now open and also includes the possibility to apply for a travel,
accommodation or full scholarship. You can find the form at
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFg2SmRRbkpxNmxCcFNFdl…
The hackathon is an opportunity for all Wikimedia community developers
and sysadmins to come together, squash bugs and write great new features
& tools. Unlike the previous years (2012, 2011, etc.) this Hackathon
won't be in Berlin, but in Amsterdam.
The event is open to a wide range of developers. We welcome both
seasoned and new developers as well as people working on MediaWiki,
tools, pywikipedia, Wikidata, gadgets, extensions, templates … . Please
suggest and discus topics at
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Amsterdam_Hackathon_2013/Topics .
You can indicate that you're coming at
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Amsterdam_Hackathon_2013/Attendees and/or
https://www.facebook.com/events/167285526755104/ . This doesn't replace
registration, it's just to let others know what you're up to.
Keep an eye on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Amsterdam_Hackathon_2013
for updates!

In Wikimedia Mexico we are working with the World Wildlife Fund to
improvemexican
biodiversity contents. They asked me to seek contact with a chapter /
editor who
wants to work their contents on the upcoming "Earth Hour" in the English
Wikipedia.
If someone wants to work on this theme, I can contact with WWF staff.
Regards!
