Hi all;
Today in Spain, the Virxe da Barca sanctuary has been destroyed by lighting.[1][2][3] I have done a quick search in the Bienes de Interés Cultural catalogue[4] but I don't see it. Anyway it was a notable monument in the region.
I have started an article in English Wikipedia[5], and it existed in Galician from August.[6] Some images are available in Commons.[7]
Just to remember that Wiki Loves Monuments mission is important. And that there is a deadline.[8]
Regards, emijrp

That's very sad. At least have the pictures, now.
When you write "destroyed by lightening", do you mean that the lightning started a fire? Are their ruins standing, and are they likely to be kept, demolished or rebuilt? In any case, a picture of them in their current state would be a good documentary record.

Yes

Ruins seems standing. The altarpieces were destroyed https://twitter.com/Costa_da_Morte/status/415923293279891456 The president of the region says it is going to be rebuilt, but you know... that is always said when a disaster happens.
In any case, a picture of them in their current state would be a good documentary record.
I'm going to put a message in Galician Wikipedia, in the case someone can take photos.
