Dear all,
I am working for Wikimedia Germany together with Nicole and am currently helping out with the Wiki Loves Monuments project. Right now I am trying to find the cheapest way to order all of the T-Shirts in one place and have them send to the participating countries by the shirt printing company. Hopefully the negotiations will be done within the next couple days and the T-Shirt printer can start doing his job. In order to send them to you, we will need adresses.
My request: Please send me a delivery adress containing:
- Name - Street & house number - Postal Code - Town - Country
so we can start sending out the shirts as soon as possible.
We are planning on sending about 20 shirts to each country. If you think that is not enough / too much for you, please also contact me.
Thanks for your cooperation in advance!
Simon

As far as I remember, during the Wikimania meeting we had on Saturday, Nicole suggested and after that successfully set up a Google form which should gather all the required information.
And as I suggested during the said meeting, 20 T-shirts may definitely be too few; we want to order 500 shirts for 16 countries, hence the default number should be, I think, 30.

I don't think WMPT got that form... or did I miss it?

That's exactly why I posted my comment; Nicole has set up a Google form but Simon asked us to send our data to him -- I think that would need to be solved between Wikimedia Deutschland first ;-))
Best wishes, - -- Tomasz Kozłowski | [[user:odder]]
Hey everybody,
sorry for the confusion. There was indeed a little missunderstanding within our chapter, but I think we got it figured out now :)

As already mention by Tomasz, there is a form that each country is supposed to fill out and which contains all the informations we need: https://spreadsheets.google.com/a/wikimedia.de/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=...
For Andorra, Portugal and Switzerland we already got the information. All other chapters please just use the form and do so as soon as possible so we can place the order (shipping time to some countries may be a couple days).
Since there have been some questions about the costs: The costs will be covered by the European budget. If you'd like to order more than 20 shirts, we ask you to pay for the added number (around 5 to 6 € per shirt).
If you have any other questions concerning the T-Shirts feel free to contact me!
Simon

I've already mentioned that twice: imagine that each country asks for 20 T-shirts, then Wikimedia Deutschland will ship 340 of them -- what is going to happen with the remaining 160 shirts?
I'd like to order 30 shirts without paying for them (because Wikimedia Poland is going to chip in EUR 1,000) -- is it possible? - -- Tomasz Kozłowski | [[user:odder]]

thanks for your mails concerning the shirt order for Wiki loves monuments.

I did not mean to not answer your question. Just to clarify: I started working at Wikimedia Germany about one month ago and I am only doing an internship. Hence I do not feel comfortable making such decisions as who is getting how many T-Shirts and who will pay for them. Nicole, regular staff member of WMDE in charge of international community projects such as WLM, will be back from holiday on Monday and I am sure that she has more insight and can suggest a solution, especially since she attended the WLM meeting in Haifa (where I believe the decision 20 shirts / chapter) was made.
My hope was to place the order as soon as possible, because time is running out and printing 500 shirts will take about two weeks + shipping time. It would be nice if the shirts could be delievered when the contests starts (I guess that does not work out for Switzerland anyway).
In the meantime I have received orders from six chapters (Switzerland, Portugal, Andorra, Denmark, Romania and Sweden). I am not sure if all participating countries have somebody reading along on this mailinglist. In any case, I ask you to fill out the form (if you have not already), so we have your contact data and can at least be sure which countries will need T-Shirts. The online form also gives you the opportunity to leave a comment. So in case you're still unsure about details (number, size, payment etc.) you can always drop a note there and we'll get back to you.
Thanks for your help in advance, Simon
PS: @Andrei: I got your note concerning the delivery adress. When we have decided for a company, I will get in touch with them, in order to find out there preferred method of delivery to Romania. I'll let you know which adress we'll use.
Hi Simon,
Do you have any updates on the order status?
Thanks, Strainu

Hi Strainu,
the T-Shirts are not printed yet, we are still waiting for the final dates for the shipping. Will keep you updated, the t-shirt company said that they will most definitely be delivered before the next weekend.
Best, Nicole

All parcel numbers seem to return some information, except for Sweden. Is it the only one that hasn't been collected by DPD yet or is it something ese that is wrong?
Hi Jan,
since the address you gave is a PO Box, DPD has stopped the delivery process and now needs a "real street address". Could you please provide it?
Best, Nicole

Hi everyone,
I've heard that there were a few problems with the distribution of T-Shirt sizes. And not only this: Unfortunately, I must admit that the sizes were generally bigger than expected, so an L almost has the size of an XL or even XXL.
To optimise this for future orders, I'd like to ask you for your input and to add your prefered distribution here:
https://docs.google.com/a/wikimedia.de/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AktMVtuHVA6qdFYw...
Thanks a lot, best regards, Nicole

Hello,
It looks like the t-shirts never made their way to France: we should have received them by now, which is not the case.
Sylvain.
The tracking code is 01594703931802 , you can check on https://www.dpd.com/de_en/ . The status says that the recipiant was not home, and has been notified. It has been waiting in Paris since 9th of September it seems.

Well,
If they came at the WMFr office before 9 o'clock, it's quite normal they didn't see anyone. But we got no notification.
I can't see no contact adress... How can I get in touch them to book a new delivery attempt (during business hours, this time) ?
Regards, Sylvain.

It appears that the Danish package has been returned to Germany - they tried delivering it here while nobody was home, and left no notification. Next time, please use another courier service.

Ehm - yes, it sucks that they didn't leave a notification (and that is definitely something to look into for a next time). However, I should say that I would have expected somehow the recipients to keep an eye out - the tracking codes have not been sent around for nothing, and if you didnt receive anything after two weeks, I would have hoped that someone would raise a question :S Anyone else who did not get their T-shirts delivered and finds out now?

Hi all,
sorry to hear that the delivery did not work that well. But it would have been better to get in touch with me earlier. I have provided all tracking numbers and am also in touch with the tshirt-seller who is responsible for all deliveries being delivered correctly.
As far as I can see, there are now only two countries without shirts, right?
Returned: * Denmark
Unclear: * France (system return?)
Best, Nicole

I believe this kind of shipments are a kind of partnership network, so it's not so easy to determine who's the final courier. Meaning that WMDE probably has no way of controlling that.

To optimise this for future orders, I'd like to ask you for your input and to add your prefered distribution here:
https://docs.google.com/a/wikimedia.de/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AktMVtuHVA6qdFYw...
Trying to share the T-shirts today, I remebered about this very old email from Nicole. From what I can see nobody wrote their preferences so far. Perhaps the people handling the t-shirt distribution will find the time to complete it based on the sizes the winners demanded, it would be interesting to see the differences between countries.
Nicole, please leave this spreadsheet online even after WLM is finished for good, it would be nice to have if for reference in any t-shirt order.
Thanks, Strainu
