Hello all,
At the end of today Wiki Loves Monuments starts in most countries.
I have already noticed that not all countries in the list have done a part of all their preparations. List: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/Partici...
Today I will start with determining if countries are ready. If a country is not ready, I try to contact the local organizers and then they have the possibility to fix the raised issue(s). As long as a country is not ready, no CentralNotice will be shown locally.
Some criteria: * A landing page must be added here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/Central... * Landing page must show sign of organising contest in 2014, including how to participate, rules, etc. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/Central... * A translation of the CentralNotice text must have been provided: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/Central...
The CentralNotice will be enabled manually within the hour after the start of the contest. If this does not happen, check the page of participating countries if your country is listed there: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/Partici... . If there: fix the issue(s) and when ready: let me know! If the CentralNotice does not show within the hour after the contest starts, and is not listed in the not ready list, let me know!
The CentralNotice will be shown only to users who access the internet from the participating countries itself!
How to contact me?
The fastest is chat (IRC) at: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=%23wikilovesmonuments
A second good alternative is my Commons talk page: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Romaine
The third option is this e-mail address, but keep in mind that the chat and talk page have my preference.
Have a great contest all!
Romaine
