well we could may be just check through the last 100 entries and chose the nicest one. Thanks emijrp. I think this one is should be what we call the 100 000th if nobody disagrees. It's not a QI for sure but it's a good way to show people that there are many ways to participate without being a great photographer or having a beautiful monument with a beautiful sun ! An immediate info (probably the Ukrainian colleagues will have a lot to add to this): This is an apartment building in Kiev (Kostyolnaya Street 9), where Sergei Korolev (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Korolev) used to live. I guess he lived there between 1924 and 1926 since this is the only time he lived in Kiev. Cheers Yaroslav

New subject: File names and descriptions

Dear all, I noticed while categorizing images which were submitted for WLM 2012 Russia that almost all users (with the exception of the experienced Commons uploaders) do not use the description field nor the name field appropriately. There are three common patterns: 1) (Minimalistic) The description field is not used, the name field is the official name of the monument (copied from some list, in Russian). If there are several photos of the same monument, an extra dot between .jpg (so that the name is xxx..jpg) or numbers at the end are used. 2) The description is still not used, and the name becomes the description: for instance (in Russian) Trinity Church, village of xxx, yyy district, zzz oblast, well preserved, a very nice view from the bank of the qqq River..jpg 3) The name is used, typically as in 1), but they copy extended texts to the description (typically taken from some other internet resource). Nobody categorizes images of course. All of these patterns in my estimate are above 95% of the uploads. Is it just Russia, or do other countries show similar patterns? Cheers Yaroslav

Hi Lodewijk, I was just suprised by the fact that many people actually use the filename INSTEAD OF the description. (For Russia, there are almost no lists at present, and those lists which exist are not used - but, yes, in principle, when all lists are there, one can bot-copy the info from the lists to the description - may be even in English). There's are even uploaders from the Philippines who provide their own "artistic/dramatic" titles to their photographs and does not at all contain the name of the monument. Isn't just you. In Colombia, some people are in fact using the field, but the vast majority are not. Still, as Lodewijk said: as the ID identifies the monument depicted on the picture, I'm not worried about it (we may even use a bot to add descriptions later).
