Dear all
I would like to say bit about my inspiration from Berlin, after hearing Lodewijk's presentation
one point strike me particularly as he explained that photo taking is rather easy way to contribute to Wikimedia where is absolutely a good way to increase participation here
so I did study a bit on the situation on the local monuments (no more than 2000) and WM commons photographic coverage on them (about half of them werre photoed and upload commons)
I do find space to work on for WLM event for once or twice, no longer than 2 yrs.
So I do think Hong Kong will jump on the wagon anyway, as I will leaving the HK board soon, and I am not the future board will support the effort,
so I might push this forward as senior Wikipedian, gathering support on local Wikipedia community, and then ask for support from the future board of Hong Kong chapter.
And one more thing, we probably not following the European time line though.
Hi Jeromy,
thanks for the update. Good to hear it was useful to you, and I hope it will be successful in Hong Kong too! Just keep an eye out for the lessons learned, and don't forget: do whatever works best in your country :) I think it makes sense not to focus on our timeline, but keep your own pace.
Lodewijk
