Hello WLM organizers!
For those who want to work with the brand new structured data on Wikimedia Commons in upcoming campaigns: it is now possible to specify structured data fields in UploadWizard.
You can find documentation on this here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:UploadWizard/Campaigns#Structured_D...
If you use Phabricator, you can leave comments and questions on any of the Campaign tasks that the Structured Data team is working on at this moment: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/?project=PHID-PROJ-7jonj7xbheh2e...
You can also leave comments and questions on this talk page: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:UploadWizard/Campaigns
Many greetings! Sandra
Hi Sandra,
During last WLE I've noticed that when we uploaded our pictures, we were presented with the structured data fields to fill. When uploading series of pictures, like 250 at once, we were presented with 250 requests to fill structured data properties there, one by one (250 forms to fill). My perception is that this is an additional hassle for the participants - an incredible hassle, in the case of power participants - the vast majority of them don't even know what that field is about; and the natural response would be either to ignore it and close the window and risk loosing all the work already done uploading the pictures (I know the pictures are kept, as I already experimented ignoring that, but newbies don't) - or losing an incredible lot of time filling those fields.
Is there any way to prefill, place a message like "you can as well close this now, and your pictures will be kept even if the forms are not filled", or deactivate, if there is no other option, those structured data fields during Wiki Loves campaigns, so that they don't cause a negative impact there?
I love the structured data on Commons, but not so much when it messes up with WL campaigns, as it has been happening lately.
Thanks, Paulo

I would even say generally, if files are batch-uploaded (in relation to WLX or not), the best course of action would be not to let the user go one by one through files to fill in P150 and/or other fields but to giva a choice between filling them all for the whole batch (if they all depict the same thing) and filling them individually.
Cheers Yaroslav
