Dear all, I am checking and collecting some data of WLM 2012 and I have found some strange behavior.
Take this example: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Dr3izehn
and this photo: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Schloss_ChillonIMG_1668.jpg
Even if the user uploaded photos only during WLM's contest, only 2 photos have been included in the contest because only 2 of them have the template of WLM.
This is one case of some others of "inexperienced people" who used the normal "uploadwizard" instead of the "uploadwizard" of WLM, even if the WLM CH website addressed them to the correct uploadwizard.

Whether through Upload Wizard or other forms, the WLM templates and categories can only be added if the user goes through a form that has the correct URL parameter. We may want to think about that in future -- i.e. have a persistent "Contribute Wiki Loves Monuments photos" link or something like that once a user has chosen to participate in a campaign.

I think it's rather related to the fact that this user uploaded ten of his twelve pictures slightly after midnight on October 1, which resulted in them not having the {{Wiki Loves Monuments 2012|ch}} template.
My time settings preferences (under "Preferences" => "Date and time") allow me to see that [[File:Schloss ChillonIMG 1668.jpg]] was uploaded exactly at 2012-10-01T00:04:14 in this user's time zone, and the rest of the images were uploaded even later.

You are right. WLM-CH 2012 ended at 20120930215959 UTC. The other 10 photos were uploaded after the deadline, and were thus not eligible. As we used a smart template, the WLM template automatically stopped being added after the deadline.
In this case, he seems to have done four batches of 2, 3, 6 and 1 photos respectively, but only the first one was in time.
Detecting uploads intended for WLM which miss the template is interesting, but not simple. Perhaps we should begin by watching files uploaded with an ID template but no WLM one. However, inexperienced people missing the WLM template are also unlikely to properly add the relevant monument-id template.
Right. I only noticed missing the WLM template in some experienced users with the upload form they are more used to.
