Where are the stats for the Philippines?

Checking monuments IDs

Hi evrybody, I was wondering if it is possible to request (and, if so, where and how) to have a bot check to all monuments ID with the ones in the list. For example we have someone who uploaded images specifying a no-existent ID (take this example [1] where the image is of the "Duomo di Milano" and the ID is "duomo di milano", how original!) Upload Wizard: internal_api_error_MWException

If you're seeing this error on the first step when uploading files, it is likely due to this bug: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40048 Disabling the user preference "Chunked uploads for files over 1MB in Upload Wizard" under "Experimental" in the "Upload Wizard" tab should resolve the issue. This preference is off-by-default, but some users may still have it enabled from our last round of testing, and it looks like recent backend changes broke it. New feature - WLM Android app helps desktop uploads!

Dear WLM Members, Please note we have added a new feature to the app that puts an upload link on the file page of every mobile upload. The upload link functions just like the upload button on many monument lists on Wikipedia. The link pre-fills the Upload Wizard with the relevant campaign and ID info. What this means in practice is that any mobile upload can be like a placeholder for desktop uploads. We are hoping this will broaden usage of the app by making it more integrated with the typical pattern of taking photos on a camera. Here is a proposal: install the attached version, try it out, and if you think this feature is useful, please let us know and spread the word. Here is a draft of the blog post that will be published on Monday: Desktop uploads from the Wiki Loves Monuments App<http://blog.wikimedia.org/?p=17406> Posted by Philip Chang <http://blog.wikimedia.org/author/pchang/> on September 7th, 2012 A travelog is one of the great ways to use the Wiki Loves Monuments Android App <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wikipedia.wlm>. As you walk around finding monuments nearby and shooting them with your camera, just take a record of the monument with the app. When you get back home, upload your mobile photos and presto – you have a convenient record of all the monuments you visited, sitting right on Commons under “My uploads.” Now, the app has a new feature: every mobile upload to Commons will include a link to upload more photos, with all of the campaign and monument info filled in. This is similar to clicking the upload button on the monument lists in Wikipedia, but it is right there in your travelog. To see your travelog and use this feature, you must login at commons.wikimedia.org and click on “My uploads” at the top. Click on the name of any upload and the file page of that photo will open. Scroll down and below the description you will see the link, “Upload more photos of this monument.” The travelog can help you in two ways: 1) to see a sequential list of the monuments you visited, so that it becomes easier to identify the monuments taken on your camera, and 2) to submit the photos from your camera for each monument. The WLM Android App already helped with 1), and now it helps with 2). The latest app, version 1.2.3, has been published in the Google Play<https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wikipedia.wlm> store and that version has this new feature. This is most likely the last release of the app this year. Hi Maarten, Can you please explain the latest actions of your bots? I'm talking about the ones labeled: * "Adding template Monument istorice based on usage in list" - I think I know what this is, but the run seems to be incomplete so I would like a more detailed explanation * "Robot: Automated text replacement (-^(.+)$ +\1\nCategory:Historical monuments in Bucharest)" - that is not at all clear to me; Both seem to be happening to other countries as well. Maybe instead of using the POTY stack in the banner, we should create and use a WLM stack. At least by clicking the link you'd be in closer contact with the author info. On the other hand, this really is a small pic, so we shouldn't get carried away, but we have to be very careful on how we follow licences - we're setting the example for others here. I've noticed the following sub categories at Category:Images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 [×] Featured pictures from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012‎ (empty) [×] Valued images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012‎ (empty) [×] GLAM images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012‎ (empty) [×] Quality images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012‎ (87 F) Ida thunk that it's best to leave the judging of Quality, Valued, and Featured pictures up to the juries first, and then go through the Wikimedia process, but I'm sure there's no rule against doing it this way. I'm more interested in which images should go in the GLAM category and who should put them in there. A general statement of how these categories should be used would also help. Pete Useer:Smallbones
