Ideas wanted: Our lists have become too big

Hi, A few days ago I've introduced direct upload links for all the monuments without an image in the monument list. The link worked ok, but I've noticed that the 3 biggest counties (by number of monuments) were not displayed completely anymore due to the page becoming larger than the maximum allowed article size [1]. I reverted the direct upload link, but the problem remained for Iași [2]. Since the problem is only going to get worse as the lists get more complete, I am now wondering what my options are: - ask the WMF for an increase in wgMaxArticleSize in ro.wp. Tempting, but even if this happens before September, >2MB pages will still be hard to load on older computers. - use a short URL service to shave some characters off the URL used for error reporting/image uploading. Might still hit the limit at some point - give up on the error reporting and/or direct image uploading (either in all the counties or just in the ones where we hit the size limit). This sounds like a hard price to pay, since we've received an impressive number of error reports and I'm sure the direct upload link will also be a success. - further split the county list into several smaller pages. As you can see, the list is already split into sections by letter, but putting the sections in different pages would mean between 20 and 30 links, which I believe could discourage people looking for a certain monument. I am not sure which of these options to choose and I am hoping for some advice from you guys. Press attention

Hi all, This year we got many questions from potential sponsors and partners about the press attention we got last year. We did keep some overview, but not really optimal. This year we'd like to improve on that but of course we need all the help we can get. If you see a press mention about Wiki Loves Monuments, please add it on http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012/Media or add a link there to a local page where you already keep that overview (and lets copy that at the end of the contest). Bug in Toolserver map

Dear colleges, This morning I noticed that toolserver map ( http://toolserver.org/~erfgoed/layar/location.html) do not indicate all monuments that already exist in the database. For example, some monuments of Кам'янець-Подільський<http://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D0%B0%D0%BC%27%D1%8F%D0%BD%D0%B5%D1%86%…>with coordinates already exist in this list<http://toolserver.org/%7Eerfgoed/api/api.php?props=country%7Clang%7Cid%7Cna…>, but the map shows no monument in this city<http://owlz.org/oar-browser.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Ftoolserver.org%2F%7Eerfgoe…>. Though in left bank of Kyiv monumentsare indicated correctly (example<http://toolserver.org/%7Eerfgoed/tools/browser/oar-browser.php?url=http://t…>). At general it is required that all our lists in category Категорія:Вікіпроект:Вікі любить пам'ятки - списки<http://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%B3%D0%BE%D1%80%D1%…>be indicated in a search tool and map. How to get rid of the WMNL toolbar in the theme

Hey guys, For wwww.wikilovesmonuments.ro , we're using the WMNL team. All works fine, except for the "toolbar" at the top, which contains links specific to... WMNL. I searched all over the place but was unable to find where it is inserted. Can anyone help me with that? Thanks, Strainu

WLM merchandise

Hi everyone! At the moment we are working on a collaboration with the Wikimedia Foundation to get some goodies and merchandise internationally produced. The production of larger amounts is cheaper then small amounts and would be available for all participating countries. We are looking into getting pens, buttons, stickers and maybe t-shirts: off course it will be up to you what you would like to order for you specific country. The costs would be limited to production costs: the WMF likes to support WLM, by taking care of the shipping costs. In order for us (Barbara Fischer and me) to contact the person(s) of the organizing chapters directly about this, please make sure you're contact information on Commons<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012/Commun…>is up to date. hi, what would be the best authority for a monuments list in cameroon? the only thing i could find was: http://whc.unesco.org/en/statesparties/cm/ a second related question: in case there is no reliable "id", is it allowed to create one for wikipedia? rupert.
