Hi everyone,
I would appreciate some help with Luxembourg.
== Technical ==
Can someone help to modify the template at
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/lb/wiki/Schabloun:Nationale_Monument…
to be able to accept the latitude and longitude in decimal format? The
current format is with another template in the description and I can't
parse that for
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monu…
. Also the name of the two list templates should probably be renamed to
a more local (less English) names.
== Organizational ==
As far as I know we don't have a local WLM organization in Luxembourg
yet. Would be a shame to not have it organized in Luxembourg. Who wants
to help to make this happen in Luxembourg? (and get rid of the anoying
with spot in the middle of Europe at
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/wiki/File:Participating_coun…!
;-)
With the lists already complete, the European part already on the road
and the fact that the country isn't that big this shouldn't be too
complicated. I would of course love to see a "Wiki Takes Luxembourg City"!
Maarten
An important update: Wikimedia Foundation has granted us permission for
using their trademarks in order to promote the Foundation's projects through
marketing campaigns, events, or other similar promotional activities.
This permission was very important for Belarusan Wikipedia, which has no own
local chapter yet.

Hi Nico,
thanks a lot for your email. Just taking the upload form aside, to avoid
confusion of topics.
The upload form is not finished yet, because it will be based on the new
upload interface of Wikimedia Commons. I don't know the exact timeline, but
I got many guarantees that it will definitely be ready in time. Of course
you can expect an announcement here when the time is there.
Best,
lodewijk

Hi Lantuszka,
I'm including the Wiki Loves Monuments list because I think this is a
broader problem we need to address.

I don't think we have a good description of the project at
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monu…
. We should put a description of the project at that page which we can
reuse. Who wants to help?
Maarten
Dear all,
After I returned home, I realized that even though we made a wonderful
budget for the European part of Wiki Loves Monuments, we did not decide how
to split it up amongst the European chapters. Please find below the
estimated costs. I would like to ask the chapters that can spare it, to
consider contributing to this budget. More specifically, I would like to get
at least a reply from: France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland
whether they would be able to take a share in this budget.
Thanks,
Lodewijk
To bring back in memory, the following costs were estimated:
TOTAL: Worst case scenario: 10.300 EURO + shipping - Best-case scenario: 3.000 EURO
* Prizes (1.500 EURO) (if no sponsors are found)
* Printing 500+ calendars (WMPL will find budget locally): 3.000 euro
* shipping + boxes, winning messages and so on. ( 200 for finalists + 300
for the chapters)
* Intl. thankyou goodies (calendars will go for that now)
* grant system for chapters that need help. 1.500 euro
* Optional: Jury costs? (7 people (says 8 above)): 2.400 (travel) + 400
(hotel) + 200 (meeting room) + 300 (living costs) = 3.300 euro
* Announcement costs? 1.000 euro (worst case)
please note:
* Hopefully printing costs will end up at zero
* Odder is still trying to find an estimate for shipping costs
* Jury costs we did not make a decision on, but I budgeted it in for worst
case.
* Announcement costs are assuming that we cannot do that during DISH.
* This is on top of existing budget by Wikimedia Nederland (for travel costs
etc)
As I remember since Konferencja Wikimedia Polska'11, effeietsanders
presented simplified form as one of the ways of uploading photos to Commons.
Here it is:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Upload&uselang=nlwik…
Seeking someone to help with localizing this page into Belarusan. In fact,
we can localize it ourselves if we have source code, I think. What else do
we need to get similar uploading form for WLM-Belarus'?

Hi all,
I am not sure how the status is here, so please excuse if this was
already discussed,
We are planning to create info flyers for participants, partners, and
other target groups of the contest. In my opinion, it would be best to
have one international flyer and then adapt it to all other
languages/countries.
Wikimedia Deutschland could take care of all the design and printing
stuff, if some of you can provide texts, images and all necessary
information. What do you think?
Best,
Nicole

Hi,
Would it be possible to get an english version of the rules and
judging criterias used in WLM 2010? Sorry if this has been posted
somewhere and I've missed it.

Hi all,
We have started a poster for the portuguese competition (sending you in
JPG). Does it help in any way?
