Hello,
Does anyone running education or GLAM programs use WikiVoyage, WikiSource, WikiSpecies, or WikiNews in their programs? If so, how do you use them? I can imagine some possibilities for them, but I can't recall ever them being used in education or GLAM programs.
Thanks,
Pine
I have tried different sister projects, but the only one I have had any success with is Wikipedia.

Hi Pine
Three years ago I suggested to a coĺleague that the project she had completed with her class was perfect for WikiVoyage: she had mapped out a walk around our town that included the most important historical monuments. She had named it "200 years in two hours". It was one of the first uploads as Greek WikiVoyage had just been launched.
I helped her upload aĺl images and text with my account and then I downloaded an openstreet map and she traced the path and the stops and we included it in the contribution. As I'm on a smartphone at Athens airport right now it's not easy for me to provide the link but if you look up Αργοστόλι on Greek WikiVoyage you can see our work:)
Cheers, Mina (Saintfevrier)

Im looking at Wikisource right now as I have some possible scanned text donations coming, but I have to admit I find the site baffling. Im going to ask a couple of students to try and decipher it in the coming semester.

There have been quite a few GLAM projects using Wikisource, but they dont always set up project pages. But here are two with a project page, and the first of them you really should remember Pine.
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:WikiProject_NARA https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:WikiProject_SLQ
Wikimedia Australia used Wikinews in their GLAM partnership with Australian Paralympic Committee. https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Paralympic_Movement_in_Au... https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Wikinews:History_of_the_Paralympic_Movement_in_...
I am sure you will find many more by looking through the GLAM newsletter archives
