Hello!
I'm excited to announce the newest addition to the education team here at the Foundation, Nichole Saad. Nichole started last week, and going forward will be the team's main point of contact for the Asia region as well as managing our team's communications work.
Here's a snippet about Nichole https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:NSaad_(WMF) in her own words:
Hello! I'm excited to meet you all! As an educator, I'm thrilled to be part
of the Wikimedia Foundation, whose work has contributed to improving access to knowledge worldwide. My own work is fueled by the theory that improving the access to and quality of education globally is the key to a more prosperous and peaceful world, and I'm eager to begin work as the new Program Manager on the Education Team!
Before joining the Wikimedia Foundation, I worked as an education professional in seven countries in diverse roles. Most recently I was based in Jordan as an Associate Project Officer with UNESCO, working on the educational response to the Syrian refugee crisis. Throughout these experiences I’ve been very interested in how innovative technological solutions can be used to provide quality education to the most marginalized, and can’t wait to explore this further here!
Please join me in welcoming Nichole to the foundation. Feel free to reach out here, directly over email (nsaad@wikimedia.org) or on her talk page https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:NSaad_(WMF).
