Hi all,
* In celebration of the July 2014 approval of the Egypt Wikimedians user group by the affiliations committee, this week's report will include a focused report on Egypt with an interview from Samir El-Sharbaty. The originally scheduled report on the broader Arab World Education Program with Tighe Flanagan will also be published this week.
* Next week is Wikimania. I originally scheduled the Mexico report to publish that week and the WMF global report in the following week. To accommodate those who are attending education events at Wikimania and are interested in WMF's current thinking, I will make the report available for pre-publication viewing next week. I will send a link to the report to this email list. Feel free to share the link. The WMF report will be published in the Signpost as originally scheduled the week following Wikimania.

Hi all,
The Mexico [1] and WMF Global Education [2] reports are now available in the Signpost Newsroom with some caveats.
The Mexico report needs a copyedit and final review from my supervisor at the Signpost.
The WMF Global Education report may get some minor changes between now and publication. The WMF Education team may have a new photo available for use that might be included in the article. For the time being I have included a modified version of the March 2014 photo of the Grantmaking Department plenary. When the photo of the Education team arrives I may re-evaluate the photographs in the report. The report also needs a copyedit and a review from my Signpost supervisor.
If you would like to talk to me about the Education Program or this Signpost series, I will be available for a portion of August 7. I am co-leading the North America portion of the Research Hackathon [3] and would be happy to arrange side conversations as time allows. Please find me on IRC or Google Hangout during the hackathon if you would like to meet.
I hope that the Signpost series on Wikimedia in Education has enriched your understanding of education programs around the world, increased pride in successful programs, and provided helpful information for conversations at Wikimania.
Regards,
Pine
