In response to your invitation to disseminate our visions, I am CCing my reply to the Wikimedia Education list, to which I am subscribed, and I look forward to hearing about the findings of the Seville workshop that was completed yesterday.
(As regards the comments link on the blog page, it's a good thing that it was cleaned from spam, but it's still "dead". Is there any chance of it becoming active again? I'm quite certain fellow Europeans on the Wikipedia Education List will be interested in participating in the dialogue, but for the time being we have no way of doing so!)

I participated in the call for vision papers with the submission "The Open Community in the School of Today" (direct link here, or look at p. 110 of PDF booklet), in which Wikimedia plays an active role. I learned about the Call for Papers in a message forwarded to the list by Everton Zanella Alvarenga (thanks Tom!)

I would like to take this opportunity to ask if there are projects aiming to improve literacy within Wikimedia? I mean, lately I've been thinking on the "knowledge requierements" for Wikipedia articles, and our basic assupmtion is that all our users are literate. So I am wondering if there were already launched projects on this topic.
If yes where can I find documentation ?
If no, what about launching some? My first thought is that wikiversities may provide courses to learn reading. Possibly with videos, or other interactive media designed with the knowledge that the user can't read (yet).
What do you think?
