Hi to All,
If we have a chance to include wikipedia in school curriculum [1], which is the best way to do it? If you have a chance to do it how you will do it? Which approach is best to include wikipedia in curricula?

Had the chance to do it but things went pear shared. If I was including it in the curriculum, I would look specifically at curriculum standards and see how they can be specifically addressed in ways that are non-disruptive to Wikimedia projects. Sample lesson plans for how I would do this can be found at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Outreach_Oceania_Integrating_Wikimed....

Thanks Laura,
I found the "Outreach_Oceania_Integrating_Wikimedia_into_the_Curriculum" as valuable source of information to me.
Every topic in curricula has a goals and activities to reach that goals, and it's depends on grade level. What do you think about it?

Hi dimce, Some schools in Sweden have been discussing this too, and I think that our employed person for "Wikipedia in education" has some good ideas about it. Maybe you could ask her if she has anything written in English about how to get Wikipedia into the curriculum. Her e-amil is:sophie.osterberg@wikimedia.se Best regards, Harald Andersson (user:Adville)

In Argentina we have an interesting resource: http://wikipediaenelaula.educ.ar/ (in Spanish) It was developed by the government, including our booklet "Wikipedia in the classroom"... and they added some suggestions of activities using Wikipedia at school: general approaches such as using articles for research, evaluation of information sources, collaborative work, wiki-culture, etc.
In a more "topic oriented approach", I have some experience integrating Wikipedia at university level, writing articles of those topics poorly represented in the encyclopedia. I have recently added a couple of experiences at http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/Case_Studies ... a great resource also, but for sure you already know it.
Best,
