We're excited to announce a new regular meeting of the Wikimedia & education community: the EduWiki Knowledge Showcase!
==About the EduWiki Knowledge Showcase== The EduWiki Knowledge Showcase is a collaboration of the Wikipedia & Education User Group and the WMF Education team. It replaces various overlapping meetings of community members we used to have, and offers an opportunity to highlight the work being done in education all over the world. Each month, we'll highlight either a region or a program type, with multiple speakers on the same theme. The time of the meeting will move around to accommodate different time zones. You can see more about the EduWiki Knowledge Showcase here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_%26_Education_User_Group/Showcase
==Join us for our first EduWiki Knowledge Showcase on WikiCamps!== Our first meeting will be on Monday, 2 October, at 9 am UTC ( https://zonestamp.toolforge.org/1696237245), and will be themed around WikiCamps. Our speakers each contributed a bit about their work: * Susanna Mkrtchyan, Wikimedia Armenia & board member, Wikipedia & Education User Group: Wikimedia Armenia has been organizing WikiCamps since 2014. In the same year, WikiCamp was recognized as the coolest project of the Wiki movement. WikiCamps and WikiClubs are registered as trademarks of Wikimedia Armenia. WikiCamp is one of the components of the Educational ecosystem through Wikipedia, which was developed by me and is run by Wikimedia Armenia. * Natasha Nedanoska, Macedonian language teacher in a primary school, member of GLAM Macedonia, education educator and coordinator of Wiki Club Ohrid: I have been participating in Wikicamps since 2018 and so far I have been to 4 (Berovo, Dojran, Seles, Mavrovo), and on the eve is the fifth Wikicamp on Kozuv Planina, Mihajlovo. Wiki Camps are three days long, starting with dinner and ending with lunch. There is always a well-prepared program that includes: editing of articles, lectures on topics related to Wikipedia, lectures by experts depending on the topic of the camp, familiarization with the environment and visiting sights, morning exercises, quizzes and entertainment. Participants usually leave richer for certain Wikipedia topics and with more experience. * Nebojša Ratković, Education Program Manager at Wikimedia Serbia: We organize Edu Wiki Camps since 2016. Our primary goal is to bring together students who are interested in Wiki topics through this activity in order to motivate them to become Wiki ambassadors. At the camp, we always have activities related to Wiki projects, but also soft skills workshops that help the participants to empower themselves. * Vjollca: Family and friends call me Vjola. My Wiki username is Vyolltsa. I have been working as a Project Manager with Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group for 3 years now. When I started out in this position, I developed an interest in involving more people in the Wiki world, and together with some high school teachers, we set up the Wikiclubs. It has been an amazing journey, and I look forward to continuing to promote open knowledge in education in Albania. In the meantime, I have been dedicated to increasing the number of events/programs within Wiki Education by aligning them with the school projects and objectives.
Join us October 2, 9 am UTC, on Zoom: https://wikimedia.zoom.us/j/86877668952?pwd=ZG9seXcwV3VYVXRobGRDcWZYR1NyQT09
If you need interpretation support from English to another language, please reach out to Sailesh Patnaik at WMF to request it: spatnaik@wikimedia.org
==Or volunteer to host our next one!== We're actively seeking volunteers to speak at future EduWiki Knowledge Showcases. Collaborate with education program leaders in your region or who run the same type of program you do to put together a panel, and recommend a day and time that will work! If you don't know others in your region or who run the same type of program, list your interest anyway, and we can help find others to collaborate with you.
Hope you can join us on 2 October!

Add yourself ??
How ?
Wherever I go through redirects as directed by the page the moment to follow ( it seems ) tab or link to succed a bit only one thing happens . Guess what ? Wikipedia's larger, brighter, faster display arrive in a massive flashback appearance right on my face ! Guess what spaps me or throw a "harassment bomb" right on my face again again and again again.........indefinitely ?
I get these :
You are blocked !! You don't have permission!! You are abusing!! You are repeatedly torturing!! You are kicked out !!
I have written down in notebook each and every polite warning on my note book. What the fuck is this??? You invite and kill. Sorry dear you are not doing good if you are acceptable to Wikipedia and if you are Wikipedia core team member than you are doing the worst with Wikipedia and finishing a loyal and ethic work culture at work place by your own. Your communication matters the most. Your response matter the most. Your support matter the most otherwise Wikipedia may be obliged to put heavy venture capital and maintain a huge working capital in company model expenses in Silly Com valley. You are blessed with remote and volunteer providers because majority of then got you as greatest blessing. Not everyone and not always there will be ease to operate and manage business in future. Wikipedia is growing, it's reades and users are growing. People’s trust are growing. This is Wikipedia's achievement but think of the time and humans also. They appreciate or depreciate what their thoughts, emotion, experience says. A second is an era for me. I fought or abused but I didn't leave. There could me thousands, hundreds or even a single person from any corner of the world who may have experienced tha same what I did and must have left Wikipedia with no feedback or reason exchange. Possible ? don't assume thousands but take only one person other than me ! What may have his/her thought about Wikipedia ? What mentality or mindset he/she should have while quitting without talk ? Does any possibility of unpleasant event come in mind about quitting Wikipedia? What may have been her/his life situations when quit Wikipedia? Was she a poor and introvert girl? Was he a handicapped or deseased person? Where is or she now? What was the character? What potential skill may she or have have ? Why did she or he want to join Wikipedia.? Did any traumatic or tragic happen happen after quitting Wikipedia? Do you have have any follow back arrangement to make confirm about the things if needed?? I value a second as equal as an era and I need something essential to have as essential as Oxygen to live. I say Oxygen then you should underrated that I am in emergency fighting with death with the help of your Oxygen. I have this rule. Wikipedia might have diferent to understand "What is needed to achieve".
Stick this message to your forehead with strongest adhesive to remind yourself forever in mirror. If I leave I don't care but think about others and Wikipedia and start counting the seconds for practice.

Dear Whoever I saw your education offerings and I had a glance over it's page but I need to work only upon being satisfied with Wikipedia's communication procedures and having a real conversation with apex personals or the founder. I can not risk anyone at the cost of death establishment of talking no matter how dominant Wikipedia should be in anything. Fisrt thing is I do not know what my username is. Second I will never return if my attempt of now goes again horrible. Third I didn't see India in list and went to an India user page named "jhalmuri". Is this a name to keep? Jhalmuri is under dispute of ownership between Bengal and Jharkhand like Rosogulla is disputed between Bengal and Odisha. I am not against nick name or secret name but username should be upto remark to represent Wikipedia for Education. Forth is I don't know if I should be member , supporter or whatever role should be. The most Important I live in India and I live India. I do not want to become one among many here. I am in need of moloplic and flexible work to freely implement everything in Education in Indian. I am not saying no one should be there other than me in whole country, there may be but I refuse to attend any parallel approach or in other words I can not work in my accountability to anyone other than Wikipedia governing body or founder commitee. I can seek a selection test of eligibility showing if Wikipedia works in a open market concept in an important and crucial field of Education. I have to work by cabinet level proposal and serving India. I will follow every instruction and scope of work given by Wikipedia only. I live India saying this has a lot of meaning, experiences and ground work in Education. Casual and optional membership and activity should be not in patern of Wikipedia for delivering exactly or better what India needs as per my report. I am aggressive and commited to make India fully educated and skilled in real term with Wikipedia . I know what the realty and records says to pull down the Central government in one day if I fail. I mean it and always open to explain and apply. No compromise and no branding will be accepted in Education and Health of India. No political or non political supreme is more powerful than a citizen of India. I assure you to do what is needed to be done. I will close every state and UTs one by one.
Thank you and allow me for being eligible to get reply and ask through Email first. Rest is shit if you don't do this. Talk first. Communicate first. If Wikipedia provides a regular correspondence then it will be a confident step. 🙏

Also send me a confirmation or receiving word for messages sent so that I could have a wise and concrete explanation of my thoughts. Keep remember Wikipedia wil ne free for student but not for the Governments. Wikipedia need nothing to invest as the key product is already in everyone's hand. Wikipedia can give me any official mean of one to one talk. Wikipedia can ask me for calls or messages from Government secretariats if needed provided that an unexpected damage happened in my relation or the tragedy left me in isolated and unrecognized state in Top IAS circle is healed. The negative or hopeless me is definitely a bad representive to rebuild the recently destroyed existence of mine. Once I am back in the needed position no corner will be left untouched in India. I will start from one state in no time. Trust me and test me before any decision making in Education.
I can meet any Wikipedia official in person if needed.

- Vjollca: Family and friends call me Vjola.
