Thank you very much for sharing this, Agnes! This is important work, and I'm excited to see others contextualize and build off of it.
best regards,

Dear Wikimedia Community,
Please find our research on how Wikimedia projects contribute to digital, information and data literacy skill development here:

We mapped the current digital literacy frameworks and developed module structures for Wikimedia at basic, intermediate and advanced levels. We identified potential stakeholders and ways for collaborations at these levels. We proposed the development of a global digital literacy framework that corresponds with the Movement Strategy direction. Although it has a UK context, we believe that other chapters and user groups can benefit from this research. You can use it for:
- developing a framework that is relevant for you locally
- providing a background for negotiations with policy-makers and
educational institutions in your country
- building educational modules and inspiring collaborations
- generating interest and debate in the movement to feed the Movement
Strategy
We are looking forward to your comments and suggestions. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions. With best regards, Agnes
