Hello, Sorry if i'm in the wrong place, but i wonder what one can do if they think their ban on meta is unjustified.
trying to talk to the blocking admin by email or irc (and to others) led nowhere. m:user:Azdiyy was blocked indef on may 24 with no warning. if meta is not suitable for my postings i am willing to learn. but an indef ban is too much imo.
many thanks, azdiyy
Guillom said to complain about users on the individual wiki, not Meta. Maybe your postings were not suitable for Meta (I haven't actually looked at all your edits, but your most recent ones on talk pages seem rather unsuitable to me.

if they're unsuitable, what about warning the 'offender' or a short ban? Azdiyy

You have already been blocked from meta: for trolling. Complaints about individual users on a project belong neither on meta: nor on this list. Please do not try to abuse this list for such stuff or you might be banned on this list as well. Please discuss your block with the blocking meta administrator.

i've mailed the admin and tried irc. mailing this list was suggested by a steward. on a non-personal level, i think meta needs an avenue for discussing such bans. if my posts belong neither to meta nor here, just let me know. no need to threaten with one more useless ban. thank you for reading my first, and hopefully last..

Hoi, It does not help when you call admins corrupt. By posting opinions like that you lose a lot if not all the sympathy you might have as a Meta newbie. You do not leave much room for a fruitful discussion weither. Also, most of the people on Meta are an admin or whatever on their projects. The way you have driven away on Meta one of the people who was active in translating to Arab does not give you any sympathy either.
I would not talk to you when you start by stating that admins are corrupt.
Thanks, Gerard

i'd like to clarify that my claims re some admins of a certain wiki are in no way intended to insult any meta admin. sympathy and contributions shouldn't make anyone above-questioning. pls only discuss my meta ban here, or wait until a specific list is set up.

You have been told that meta admins are usually admins on other wikis. What you might haven't understood is that by having experience on conflicts and trollings, they'll know about "admin complaints".
Very similar as how they always protect [[m:The Wrong Version]], admins are always "a fascist biased communist group which want to rule the wiki under their dictatorship".
Not having an ar: admin explaining their version; we only have yours which will obviously PV. Anyway, your actions clearly fall on "Do not disrupt Wikipedia", so your meta ban is probably right. If you feel infinite is too much time, what about lowering it to several months?

when you're responsible for cleaning the mess you may well behave like "a fascist group" without knowing it. trolling, on theother hand, is more fun. if it takes several months to set up a new list or decide where this ban may be discussed (if at all), why not wait? it'll save meta bandwidth, and allow ar admins back in full gear - no scary trolls around. no questions need answers if they were a troll's. they must be right if meta has banned me, or so think they. Considering meta itself doesn't have a mailing list, and there is no meta equivalent to the English Wikipedia's unblock-en-l mailing list, I don't think bringing issues about meta to this list is actually a problem. If it is, then perhaps we need a new list - this one is rarely about the Foundation, but about anything which doesn't fit neatly into one of the project lists. I think a new Wikimedia projects list would be useful so that foundation-l could be kept only for foundation matters.

I'd say this is an issue for wikipedia-l: miscellaneous issues not related to other lists.

I have my doubts of a list for Meta will not be a dead list. But the are very cheap. I have made a bugzilla ticket to request one and will take care of it.
