Congrats, that's actually quite a small amount of downtime we had.

That's 2h 23m in 2007 to date, rather - in three months not twelve.
If memory serves, 2006 would be substantially more - wasn't it early 2006 we were down for a day or so, or was that early 2005?

Two episodes of knams being down, reported as about one hour each. One was clearly our fault (load balancer down with no hot spare), the other was upstream. Well, we've learnt from our mistakes, we have hot spares for our load balancers now.

On thing to keep in mind, the user expirence for contributors and anon-readers who have not edited during their browser session are quite different...
In any case, they are reporting on 2007 year to date, not 2006.
The loss of our netblock back in aug 2006 resulted in more than 2 hours of outage alone.

This is simply not good enough. We are entirely too reliable. As Jimmy Wales has said, "downtime is our most profitable product." Don't the devs care about the Foundation's funding? Break the site more often! Preferably on a Sunday afternoon!
