Has anyone at the foundation taken a look at the owner of wookiepedia.org? Maybe you could team up with Lucasfilm to investigate whether or not it may be in violation of any trademark rights of one or both companies.
I am unsure how this step would further the goals of the Foundation, but I am positive you are willing to explain that.

Hi,
I would like to thank you for sharing this link, because now I am more informed about Yoda, Darth Vader and the force, that made my day!

It's my understanding that if you don't defend your trademark, you risk losing it.
That said, I don't think "Wookiepedia" is one of the Foundation's trademarks. It's neither spelled nor pronounced the same as Wikipedia.

IANAL, but:
The most important element is whether another entity using the trademark is appearing to be associated with the organization owning it, in the same business, etc.
Wikipedia Review is clearly NOT associated with Wikipedia - it's a criticism and discussion site about us, but not of us.
Wookiepedia is an informational wiki (similar "business"), but it's very narrow focused (Star Wars info / fans), and the name is a clear and intentional pun. Nobody is going to mistake it for a Wikipedia project, because the pun's so clear.
The Wikipedia Art people were connecting to us for article links, which could confuse people as to whether they were us or part of us or not, and given the direct connection and the direct identical name use were a infringement.
I fail to see how this is a copyright infringement, or how it is damaging to either company.

Trademark, not copyright - and it's damaging because it can lead to other organizations getting away with looking like they're part of the project.
That art project is primarily merely annoying. Other protential infringers doing the same thing (making it look like they might be part of Wikipedia) could be more malign. More malign potential examples abound ("Click here to vandalize the encyclopedia!").
We (Jimmy, the community, etc) created the Foundation to protect the Wikipedia project (and other projects) from malign external influences in the financial, legal, and real world interaction senses. This is unfortunately one of those things.
