As mentionned in the minutes of last board meeting, the Wikimedia Foundation is considering hiring a part time conference organizer to arrange Wikimania 2006, the second international Wikimedia Conference.

The conference will be held in Boston in late July or early August 2006. The organiser will not be an employee, but a contractant. The applicant should be experienced in organizing internaltional conferences, be able to work online for most of the year, and have an understanding of the goals of Wikimedia and the aim of this conference. Fluency in English is required, and a good level of fluency in at least one other language is beneficial. The position implies full time availability immediately before and during the conference.
