Hi. I'm a sysop and a member of info-ja team of ja.wikipedia. (see signature)
I request for OTRS account named "tietew" and maintener of info-ja queue. Other member of info-ja will request OTRS account later.
I'm trying to make OTRS fully-compatible with Japanese at otrs-dev mailing list. (see http://lists.otrs.org/)
Thanks,
Can you please send me at dmenard AT wikimedia PUNTO org:
login: tietew preferred email address (the one where you want to receive OTRS stuff) real name (in latin alphabet and Japanese) or "real sounding name" so that I can put this in the system.
We require that anyone operating on OTRS use a "real name" (or, as I said a "real sounding name" if you do not wish to disclose your real name to the public).
Thank you,
Delphine

Thanks Delphine,
It would be great help if you look into the request made on the meta page: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/OTRS/volunteering
The page has listed some requests which are listed more than three months back, i.e. November 20, 2006.
I suppose it is a very long time to be waited before accepting a request by the committee.
Your replies would be appericiated.
Regards,
Shyam

Hear, hear! There have been a lot of requests recently for more people to volunteer for the info-en queue, but if the history of that page is anything to go by, no new people have been given accounts since November last year (that's the last edit that removed any names).

That's not actually the case, just that the list isn't well maintained and people aren't always grabbed in the order they volunteer...
In any case there are two new admins now, so perhaps it will be more efficient!

I thought that might be the case - I imagine plenty of those volunteers haven't been processed yet, though, which could seriously help the backlog...

Excellent!

Well. Just a few days ago, we discussed adding two names on the french speaking list and one was added yesterday. But admittedly, I forgot to remove the name on meta :-) This is now done :-)
