We really really seriously need to make these messages wiki-editable. For some reason, I *always* find something wrong with them ;-)
I had thought the convention was to add it to the From Wikipedia template....

yes, YES, YES
You can do it perhaps ??? :-)
Hi,
Thank you to the person who added the fundraising link at the top of the main page :-)
and it is also very good that readers are then offered the page http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/What_we_use_the_money_for
It would be perfect if the reader of this page would also be informed that
- many small donations have always added to the larger amounts needed. I am afraid that a normal person reading how much money is needed for hardware could think that his contributions will be too small anyhow to make sense.
- and after this is said the reader should find a link directly to the donation page where he then finds practical information how to make a donation.
Just make it easy for the readers to give their money by offering them a link here at the seconds they are really motivated to donate :-).

These sounded like good ideas, so I made relevant changes; also a few copyedits (we're in the top 750 sites in the world, not just in English, according to Alexa =). >sj<
