Sure, we can definitely do that!
It would probably be good to have an initial list (opt-in, it's a little
freaky to aggregate peoples' blogs without asking IMHO), and probably a
central contact in each language to manage the list would be good. :)
That's pretty much what Erik's doing at
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Planet_Wikimedia .
Note also on the talk page support for making it multilingual -
en.planet.wikimedia.org, etc. Which is as obviously a good idea in
retrospect as it was to make
www.wikipedia.org a multilingual portal.
