The policy was last updated in February 2017. The recent updates provide clarity about our existing practices, as well as more information about how we handle the data we collect from donors when they make a donation or otherwise interact with Wikimedia donation- or fundraising-related sites, banners, and emails. These updates are part of our ongoing efforts to provide clear information to our users and donors, and do not represent a substantial change in our practices.
