Initially there are two prime candidates for Wikidata: Wiktionary and
Wikispecies. The implementation of "the ultimate wiktionary" is part of
the implementation of Wikidata.
For Wikimaps to work, a single record would need to be IDd as being associated
with a particular point, line, polygon, or raster coordinate feature. That
record would contain one to many fields of user-inputable and human readable
data. Developing a way to tie that into a true wiki-editable GIS (meaning users
could move points, lines, and polygons; since rasters are effectively images,
editing them will be difficult) will require a separate module (call that the
WikiGIS module if you like). That module would also need to support exporting
to popular GIS formats, such as shapefiles and geodatabases.
