Ellie Young refers to a strategic review of Wikimania. It would be valuable to know how the community at large, and especially the 99% of content contributors or the 99.9999% of readers (all figures estimated) who do not currently go to such events, will be involved. Will there be any engagement at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikimania for the 99%? Banners for the 99.9999%?
Hoi, I have largely lost my appetite for Wikimania and "strategic discussions". With the USA finally having its house in order, the argument surfaced. We can do with regional conferences I am told and it is for me to argue otherwise. I do not want to argue. For me Wikimania has always been a proof that we care about other countries and other languages. As the majority is interested in English only, why bother argue? Thanks, GerardM
