I feel like vandalizing this one: http://www.wikimedia.it/index.php/Immagine:Spilla_3_copy.jpg to replace the "Italia" with "France". I want one! I've been told that that pin design hasn't been used yet, but I suspect they'll be getting lots of orders soon... heheh. Thank you for the laughs, --Maria User:Arria Belli

Just to underline it: an insider told me that few copies of the "Evil admin" pins are available, just like some other design. You've only to write to WMI, I'm sure they will ship it to you (if shipping is convenient...)

Could cafepress, or a cafepress-like service, produce these kind of badges to sell?

Yes, as could any high-street print shop - judging by the window displays, they mostly make their living printing one-offs of personal images on T-shirts, mugs, mousemats, etc. these days.

This is still Wikimedia-Italy's idea. If they can do it for themselves as a fund-raiser they should have the first chance instead of putting it through cafe press.
Looking at the iPins.it site these can be produced for about €0.30 each. Selling them at €1.00 each plus shipping could be profitable for them.

I was just cleaning out old eMail when I arrived at this one. Is anyone considering to bring a supply of these to Alexandria to sell to the rest of us?

Yes :)
I'm doing some local work for production of promo products - mostly focussed on logos for the projects right now (less text, to keep things open-ended).
I hope to have more to show soon.

synchronicity, we just started a discussion about the double-hyphen before the signature (and if it should be there by default, or not) at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_%28proposals%29#Should_t...

o_0 Can I just boggle slightly?
Just because something could be put to a long and detailed discussion doesn't mean it should be.

Totally off-topic but if I recall correctly

It is not "double-hyphen" but "double-hyphen, double-space and carriage return". A certain RFC defined it so I heard but it could be an urban-myth ...

That's for emails. A carriage return before every sig would be chaos for a wiki talk page.

Very few of the more modern email clients work per that spec, and I recall it from the Usenet RFC. There, it works. When you write "-- " (single space) on a line on its own everything below is treated as a signature and stripped by another Usenet client when a reply is sent.
