How do school children living in poverty access Wikipedia? It is more difficult than many of us may think.

In 2013, Victor Grigas produced a short film for the WMF, about a school class in South Africa. The film was made for a (controversial) campaign then, but it still is a great documentary about poor people who would like to read Wikipedia but not always have the money for it.

Now I have interviewed Victor about this movie and why he (and director Charlene Music) made it. It turns out that he had very personal motives when he proposed this project to his supervisor at the WMF.

We also talked about the reasons why some people reacted quite negatively to the movie.
